A Prayer for Days When You Don't Feel Like Praying
A friend of mine has a great blog post on why I often refer to Catechisms, Statements of Faith or Faith Confessions that have been written. One of the statements that really stood out to me says, "A catechism like Westminster is not infallible, but it's exposition of Scripture is better than yours." I appreciate his frankness. A lot of God's people in America could use a dose of humility and should realize that God has given us a lot of wise, humble, faithful people who know his word better than we ever could figure out on our own. Taking advice from the saints who have gone before us is wise advice.
